Description of the Event

  • Following the completion of the MYCOMM project, 4 stakeholder events were organised to ensure the sustainability and long-term impact of the project’s outcomes. The event brought together key stakeholders, including youth organisations, migrant support groups, and trainers, all of whom engaged with the project throughout its lifecycle. All participants had previously expressed interest in adopting and further disseminating its results.

  • The events provided a platform to reflect on the project’s achievements, discuss lessons learned, and explore opportunities for continued collaboration. It also highlighted best practices in youth-led advocacy, digital storytelling, and audiovisual production, showcasing how youth organisations can continue using MYCOMM’s resources when working with migrant youth.

  • Each event followed a similar structure, focusing on the project’s key results, including the capacity-building training, youth organisation exchanges, and the makeathon event, etc. Group discussions during these events focused on ensuring sustainability and future uptake of the project’s outcomes.

  • Stakeholders discussed ways to integrate MYCOMM methodologies into their existing programmes and training activities, with several youth organisations committing to using the project’s communication tools and audiovisual techniques in their ongoing work.

  • Participants from migrant support organisations explored how the project’s findings on migrant and refugee inclusion could inform policy recommendations at local and national levels.

  • As a result of these events, several participants expressed interest in utilising the project resources and methodologies in their daily practice, ensuring ongoing use of the resources.
