The first face-to-face meeting of the MYCOMM project took place on 25 and 26 April in Barcelona.

MYCOMM is an Erasmus+ project of the European Union, which will address relevant issues such as communication and advocacy for equity and inclusion of youth organisations supporting young migrants and refugees.

Led by OBREAL Global, this project has a consortium consisting of CARDET (Cyprus), Young European Federalists -JEF- (Belgium), Cyprus Youth Clubs Organisations -KOKEN- (Cyprus), the Rural Hub (Ireland), APEDV Regarddons (France), The Group for European Integration – GIE – (Romania) and Voice of Young Refugees in Europe -VYRE- (France).

During this kick-off meeting, the different organisations met to plan the next steps of this European initiative and also decided on the formal composition of two key bodies of the project, the PMT (Project Management Team) and the Quality Team.

During these days of cooperation, the participants agreed on the steps to be taken in order to achieve one of the main objectives of the project, the implementation of a series of training sessions on communication that will be given to more than 25 organisations from different countries.

At this meeting, all the details were agreed upon in order to effectively implement this objective. The first step will be to carry out a SWOT analysis led by CARDET. At the same time, JEF will be in charge of mapping all the youth organisations dedicated to giving a voice to young people who have had to migrate and to the different refugee communities.

The next face-to-face meeting of the MYCOMM project will take place in Cyprus in June.
